Richard Engler


Richard kicked off his career working as brand manager at Coca-Cola. He masterminded a worldwide No.1 hit whilst there and decided to quit his ‘proper job’ and cross over to the music industry. He joined Sony Music and then moved to Warners, EMI, and V2 Records. He brings a wealth of experience to every project as well as a grumpy enthusiasm for new music. In his 30+ years in the industry he has worked on in excess of 250 top 20 records, been a DJ at XFM and lectured at numerous colleges and universities.


David Rowell


David is from the Black Country. His love of melody and Wolverhampton Wanderers is well documented and is a born lateral thinker with 25 years music industry experience. David spent 12 years at the Chrysalis Group of labels and worked across Hit Label, Curb, Echo, Papillon and Chrysalis Copyright imprints and set up Autonomy with Richard when the seismic changes in the music industry appeared in the early noughties. An extremely poor bass player with a comprehensive musical knowledge of 80’s one hit wonders and a regular contributor to the Autonomy swear box, ex mobile DJ and Stourport Boys League Penalty Competition winner 1981.


Jack Smith

Head of Marketing

While earning his BA in Music at the University of Leeds, Jack gained his earliest experiences in the music industry, helping to run student events and managing a Hip Hop and Jazz collective which continues to operate in the North today. Specialising in campaign strategy, Jack utilises his broad network and creative ideas to build marketing campaigns from the ground up. He is responsible for a number of Autonomy's management clients and continues to develop the careers of artists like Rosa Cecilia and Tamaraebi. 


Justine Perret

Head of Digital // Marketing Manager

Justine joined Autonomy after completing a Music Business MA at Tileyard Education and has been developing her digital and creative marketing skills since. After moving from Switzerland to study songwriting at BIMM Brighton, Justine’s love for music spread to the business side of the industry and she is very much a hybrid, both in her job titles and passions. She has a soft spot for pop and indie music, which she continues to write and perform.


Marta Teolato

Head of Social Media // Marketing Manager

Marta is a dynamic and talented addition to the Autonomy Team, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in the music business. With two music business degrees under her belt, including her latest from Tileyard Education, she has developed a deep understanding of the industry and its ever-evolving landscape also through her management and live background.

Marta's specialty lies in social media campaign management and product management. Her creativity and practical skills enable her to craft stunning content and unconventional campaigns that reach diverse audiences across different channels. Her goal is to always be ahead of the trends, and make her artists early adopters of all the new technologies available.


Becky Briggs

Campaign Manager

Raised in a Swedish and British household, Becky has of course been raised as a Eurovision fanatic. Listening to an array of music throughout her childhood, this fuelled her musical journey as an active songwriter and artist. Becky recently graduated with a BA in Songwriting and is now the newest member of the Autonomy Music Group team. Here, she is bouncing with creative ideas, enthusiasm and music industry experience.
