Richard kicked off his career working as brand manager at Coca-Cola. He masterminded a worldwide No.1 hit whilst there and decided to quit his ‘proper job’ and cross over to the music industry. He joined Sony Music and then moved to Warners, EMI, and V2 Records. He brings a wealth of experience to every project as well as a grumpy enthusiasm for new music. In his 30+ years in the industry he has worked on in excess of 250 top 20 records, been a DJ at XFM and lectured at numerous colleges and universities.
David is from the Black Country. His love of melody and Wolverhampton Wanderers is well documented and is a born lateral thinker with 25 years music industry experience. David spent 12 years at the Chrysalis Group of labels and worked across Hit Label, Curb, Echo, Papillon and Chrysalis Copyright imprints and set up Autonomy with Richard when the seismic changes in the music industry appeared in the early noughties. An extremely poor bass player with a comprehensive musical knowledge of 80’s one hit wonders and a regular contributor to the Autonomy swear box, ex mobile DJ and Stourport Boys League Penalty Competition winner 1981.
Head of Creative // Senior Product Manager
Head of Autonomy Creative and the undisputed diva of the team, Kate takes great joy in picking our clients brains for creative ideas and working to build artistic worlds around our projects. With questionable dad jokes and a pun placed wherever possible, please be prepared to entertain her humour whilst running with some brilliant, yet crazy ideas that may or may not result in live alpacas loose in a gold plated stately home.
The undoubted Queen of organisation and founder of a popular North West London Rounders team, Poppy spends most of her time dad dancing at gigs and will attend any event that serves bubbles. Starting out in the music industry as a Radio Plugger, Poppy works across all aspects of Autonomy Digital and Management, providing support both professionally and emotionally to the team (she’s the second funniest of the lot). Most memorable gig: dancing with Nile Rogers at Tate Modern.
Callum is the newest member of the Autonomy team coming off the back of Tileyard Education’s Music Business MA course. Alongside his work on the business and marketing side of things, Callum also has vast experience as a starving artist which he believes helps him with valued experience and jeopardy to work on Autonomy’s projects. Callum is an avid hip hop head and has a strong passion for music production. He can be found most weekends rummaging through dusty crates of records trying to find “that one perfect sample”.
As Kate and Callum, Grace is an artist and songwriter of repute. Hailing from the wilds of Worcestershire she has recently graduated from BIMM in Brighton and is currently building her industry knowledge and sense of comic timing (albeit remotely) at Autonomy Towers.
